ARLINGTON, TX – The National Christian College Athletic Association announced that Arlington Baptist University will once again serve as the host of the 2026 Division II Baseball Invitational. The invitational will return to Lon Goldstein Field in Forth Worth, Texas from February 19-21.
Lon Goldstein Field is a natural turf field that for a single season was the home to the Fort Worth Cats, a professional baseball program in the All-American Association. The stadium can seat 1500 fans, has a press box overseeing the field, and a digital scoreboard in right center field.
"Arlington Baptist University is pleased and excited to host our second NCCAA Division II Baseball Invitational in as many years," said Vice President of Intercollegiate Athletics, Greg Feris. "It's a significant honor to have the event return to Arlington/Fort Worth and Lon Goldstein Field. It also gives us the opportunity to bring other community partners on board to assist in making the event bigger and better than last year. On behalf of our president Dr. Clifton McDaniel and the entire ABU athletics program, we thank the NCCAA for their vote of confidence."
Each year the invitational host bid will be offered to the top ranked DII baseball program from the previous year's power ratings. With NCCAA approval, the top seed will host if they choose to accept. In the 2024-25 season, Arlington Baptist finished with a 33-14 regular season record and a 4.599 power rating to hold the top power rating among division II programs. The invitational will be a four-team tournament once again inviting programs from top to bottom from the previous year's power ratings.
