Their first loss of the tournament would ultimately come against the eventual champions, and the Patriots finished just one win away from a shot at redemption in the championship game.

In the double-elimination bracket, the Patriots had one final opportunity to battle their way back to the championship through Southwestern Christian. SCU's offense proved tough to contain, finishing with 7 runs, 7 RBIs, and 6 hits. The Patriots fought throughout the game but struggled to capitalize offensively, leaving 9 runners on base.
