ARLINGTON, TX - The Arlington Baptist University women's basketball team ended their season with a hard-fought 68-69 loss to #1 seed Pensacola Christian College in the NCCAA National Tournament. Despite the tough finish, the Patriots' journey was marked by resilience and growth.
A Season of Progress
With 11 new players and no returning starters, ABU started 0-5 and remained unranked all season. However, they turned things around, finishing 7-4 in region play and earning the #4 seed in the Southwest Region Championship. Their efforts led to the program's 10th Southwest Region title and 12th National Tournament appearance, finishing as the #7Â team in the country.
Standout Players
Key contributors included junior Laila Stewart and transfer Sa'Nya Green, with midseason addition Enyce Williams adding depth. Their leadership and impact fueled the team's postseason success.
