ARLINGTON, TX - The Arlington Baptist University Patriots have earned the #2 seed in the upcoming NCCAA Volleyball National Championships after an outstanding season with a 19-2 record. Both of their losses came in hard-fought matches against Randall University at Randall's home court, leaving the Patriots more determined than ever to bring home the championship title.
The Patriots enter the tournament with momentum and a roster packed with talent. Freshman standout Teagan Hill was named NCCAA Southwest Region MVP, an impressive honor for the young player who has consistently been a powerhouse on the court. Senior leader Reese Couture and sophomore defensive anchor Tara Tackett were both named First Team All-Region, while senior Madelaine Blanco earned a spot on the Second Team, recognizing her pivotal role in ABU's successful season.
Pool play kicks off on Wednesday, November 20, and will run through Thursday, November 21. The Patriots are in Pool B, where they will face off against #3 Boyce College, #6 Pensacola Christian College, and #7 Faith Baptist Bible College. The top teams will advance to the semifinals on Friday, November 22, with the championship match set for Saturday, November 23.
