The Arlington Baptist University Volleyball Team took on former Southwest Region opponent, Ozark Christian College in their first home game of the season.
The Lady Patriots commanded the first two sets, winning 15-25 and 11-25. The Ambassadors showed some fight in the third set and forced the #2 ranked Lady Patriots into a fourth set. However, ABU regained their momentum and won the final set 12-25.
Junior Kylee Drury led her team in kills with 11, followed by Amelia Carr and Kensington Jordon who each added 9 kills. Jordon and Drury also had an impressive defensive performance with 5 and 4 blocks, respectively. Katie Bryce also added 12 digs to the defensive effort. Setters Keira Roberson and Alexa Tucker added 18 and 16 assists, respectively.
The Lady Patriots will take on Dallas Christian College in their first Southwest region matchup on Wednesday, September 17th in Farmers Branch at 6:00 pm.
