Jeff Cross began his soccer journey as the starting varsity goalkeeper during his sophomore year at Burleson HS. During his senior year he began playing center-back and earned All-Tarrant County Team awards.
Although he was invited to tour Europe with the premier club team, the Texas Longhorns. Cross made the decision to pursue American football at McMurry College.
Coach Cross obtained his FIFA Refereeing license and ventured into coaching youth league teams where he found joy in mentoring young athletes. He furthered his education, earning a BA in Exercise Sports and Health Studies from UT-Arlington.
Jeff's coaching journey came full circle when he returned to his Alma Mater, Burleson High School, and began his high school coaching career. Over the course of 23 years, he secured several varsity high school district, bi-district, and area championships. His dedication to the sport and athletes earned him the title of Johnson County Coach of the Year.
Rooted in his upbringing in a tight-knit community, Cross values teamwork, respect, and the strength of faith in Jesus Christ. These principles form the foundation of his coaching philosophy, driving his players to become not only skilled athletes but also well-rounded individuals.
