The Lady Patriots picked up an impressive road regional victory over Dallas Christian, avenging a home loss from just two weeks ago. The Patriots were led by standout freshman Zoe Senganya, who delivered a star performance with 28 points on an efficient 9-of-13 shooting. Senganya was perfect from beyond the arc, knocking down both of her three-point attempts, set the tone early, and came up clutch with multiple and-one finishes.
The Patriots also received key contributions throughout the lineup. Sophomore guard Precious Candler provided valuable minutes off the bench, scoring seven points and taking a crucial charge down the stretch. Junior Sophia Cortez was efficient in her time off the bench, going 3-for-4 from the floor to finish with six points. Starter Kaylee Bennett added nine points and seven rebounds, providing a strong presence on both ends of the floor.
The Lady Patriots will return home for a non-region matchup against Paul Quinn on February 5 at 5 p.m., before hosting CBS-Houston on February 7 at 2 p.m. for their second region contest and homecoming game.
