ARLINGTON, TX - The Arlington Baptist University Patriots men's basketball team secured a convincing 90-79 victory over the Southwestern Adventist University Knights, improving their season record to 9-12.
After a challenging first half shooting performance, the Patriots found their rhythm in the second period to pull away from the Knights. The team finished with 38.7% (29-75) shooting from the field and 71.8% (28-39) from the free-throw line, with their success at the charity stripe proving crucial to the victory.
Eric Conner delivered a dominant performance, leading all scorers with 27 points on efficient 62.5% shooting from the field. Conner's complete stat line included 2 rebounds, 2 blocks, and 3 steals, while converting 3 of 7 attempts from beyond the arc.
Ahmad Webster contributed significantly to the winning effort with 20 points, including a strong showing at the free-throw line where he converted 10 of 13 attempts.
J'son Murray posted an impressive double-double with 14 points and a team-high 12 rebounds, while adding 2 steals and a block to his performance.
The Patriots' defense tightened in the second half, with Murray securing 6 defensive rebounds, while
