Arlington Baptist Volleyball Continues Dominant Season with Four All-Region Selections and Coach of the Year Honor

The Arlington Baptist University Volleyball team continues to impress, boasting a remarkable 15–1 record and capping off the regular season with four All-Region players and the Coach of the Year award.

Earning Second Team All-Region honors are:

  • Senior setter Keira Roberson, who closed out the regular season with 235 assists17 kills32 service aces, and 95 digs.

  • Sophomore outside hitter Avery Allsop, who contributed 115 kills17 service aces42 digs, and 15 total blocks.

On the First Team All-Region, the Patriots are represented by:

  • Junior Kensington Jordon, who tallied 101 kills9 digs, and 32 blocks this season.

  • Junior Tara Tackett, who added 95 kills29 digs, and 42 blocks to her standout campaign.

Rounding out the postseason accolades, Head Coach Kristi McDaniel was named Coach of the Year, a testament to her leadership and the team's continued excellence.

The Patriots carried that momentum into regional tournament play, earning a hard-fought victory over Southwestern Adventist University (SWAU) to advance to the regional finals against Randall University on November 7th.

In the win over SWAU, several Patriots shined:

  • Tara Tackett continued her stellar play with 9 kills on 16 attacks for a .440 hitting percentage.

  • Kensington Jordon added 6 kills on 11 attacks, maintaining her perfect streak of zero errors and a .550 hitting percentage.

  • Junior Amelia Carr led the offense with 11 kills on 21 attacks for a .430 hitting percentage.

  • Setter Keira Roberson orchestrated the offense with 21 assists, while Junior Britney Gilchrist anchored the defense with 12 digs.

The Lady Patriots look to carry their momentum forward as they defend their national championship and continue their postseason run. Congratulations to the team and coaching staff on another outstanding year!
