Lady Patriots Go 2-0 and Sweep Student-Athlete of the Week Awards

The Lady Patriots continued their strong play this week, going 2-0 and sweeping the Student-Athlete of the Week honors.

They opened the week on Tuesday with a dominant performance against Dallas Christian College. Offensively, the Patriots featured a powerful trio at the net. Kensington Jordon led the charge with 5 kills on 9 attacks and no errors, finishing with an impressive .556 attack percentage. Sophomore Avery Allsop followed closely with 9 kills on 18 attacks (.500 attack percentage), while Tara Tackett added 8 kills with just one error on 15 attempts (.467 attack percentage).

In the setting role, Alexa Tucker and Keira Roberson combined for 29 assists, efficiently running the offense. Defensively, Katie Bryce anchored the back row with 13 digs, and Britney Gilchrist added 9. The Lady Patriots swept the match 3-0.

On Thursday, the Patriots celebrated Senior Night against Southwestern Christian University, an NAIA opponent. Before the match, they honored four seniors — Alexa Tucker, Keira Roberson, Zayda Rojas, and Kyra Cerda — for their contributions to the program.

Once again, Kensington Jordon was unstoppable, recording 17 kills on 25 attacks for a phenomenal .680 attack percentage. Tackett added 10 kills, and Allsop chipped in 8 as the Lady Patriots earned a hard-fought 3-1 victory — their first dropped set in a month.

This week's outstanding performances earned Kensington Jordon the Offensive Student-Athlete of the Week honor, while Katie Bryce claimed the Defensive Student-Athlete of the Week award.

With the wins, the Lady Patriots improved their record and now set their sights on closing out the regular season Tuesday against Spurgeon College and Southwestern Adventist University, before hosting the Regional Tournament on November 5th
