Chad Sommerville joined Davis Beaver’s staff in April 2024 and serves as the defensive coordinator and infield coach for the Patriots. Sommerville also handles all the pitchers and catchers. Sommerville brings an extensive background from the California travel ball circuit, having coached softball in California for over 20 years.
Sommerville has coached with the OC Batbusters for over 7 years, having spent the first 2 with Dennis Gomes Batbusters in Northern California before moving directly under Mike Stith for the past 5-plus years.
Sommerville moved to Texas in January 2022, bringing the OC Batbusters brand and style of play to North Texas. He is currently the head coach of the OC Batbusters TX Sommerville travel team, which competes in the 18u division and boasts a true national schedule.
Sommerville resides in Colleyville with his wife of 27 years, Fernanda. He has four children, Samantha, Alyssa, and twins Leah and Dakota.
