The Patriots softball team wrapped up the regular season in dominant fashion, going 4-0 against Haskell to improve to 20-8 on the year. The Patriots now turn their attention to the Central Regional Tournament, which begins Friday at home at 12:30.
In Game 1, the Patriots exploded for 12 runs on 16 hits. Roo Stone led the offensive charge with a perfect 4-for-4 performance while scoring three runs. Elizabeth Werner added three hits and an RBI, while Ambrosia Pena finished 2-for-3 with two RBIs. Katelyn Barrett drove in two runs, and Miranda Machado crossed the plate twice. Kennedy Porter earned the win in the circle with six strikeouts.
Game 2 saw another strong offensive showing as the Patriots collected 13 hits in an 8-run performance. Brianna Escalante paced the lineup, going 2-for-3 with three RBIs, a double, and a walk. Katelyn Barrett added a 2-for-5 outing with two runs scored and a double, while Roo Stone went 2-for-4 and swiped two bases. Carissa Lagor contributed two runs, a hit, and a walk. Ali Nuno picked up the win with six strikeouts.
In Game 3, Katelyn Barrett continued her strong series by going 3-for-4 with three RBIs, while Elizabeth Werner finished 3-for-4 with two RBIs. Ali Nuno earned another win in the circle, striking out five batters.
The Patriots closed the series with another victory in Game 4. Sadie Ryan delivered a perfect 3-for-3 performance at the plate, while Elizabeth Werner went 2-for-3 with an RBI and a double. Eris Aiken secured the win with four strikeouts.
