The Patriots Split Double Header Against LeTourneau


Game 1

The Patriots late offensive sparked them to a victory in game one of the double header. Austin Valdez (Sr./Mansfield, TX) earned the win on the mound. He threw five innings, allowing three runs, six hits, and striking out two. Parker Kleinert (Jr./Henrietta, TX) came in relief. He threw one inning, giving up one run on three hits. Ryan Rivera (So./San Antonio, TX) earned the save. He threw one inning, allowing zero runs, zero hits, and striking out one.

The Patriots offense was solid in the contest. Tyler Brown (Jr./Bastrop, TX) and James Duvall (So./Grapevine, TX) each collected RBI’s. Kailen Glover (Jr./Shreveport, LA) had two hits and a run scored in the contest. Ivan Rios (Jr./Fort Worth, TX) reached base three times. He collected two walks, one hit, and one RBI in the game. Justan Bailey (Fr./Krum, TX) had two RBI’s to lead the Patriots offensive spark.


Game 2

The Patriots offense stayed hot in game two.  Colton Glover (Sr./Shreveport, LA) threw four innings, giving up three runs, three hits, and four walks. Brandon Ventura (Jr./Fort Worth, TX) entered in the fifth inning and earned the loss. He threw one and a third innings, allowing six runs on four hits. Drake Boswell (Sr./Grand Prairie, TX) came in relief. He threw two-thirds inning, giving up zero runs on one hit.

The Patriots offense collected five runs on ten hits in the contest. Kailen Glover (Jr./Shreveport, LA) had a two run blast in the second inning. Tyler Brown (Jr./Bastrop, TX), Lorenzo Lynch (Jr./Cedar Hill, TX), and Justan Bailey (Fr./Krum, TX) each had a multi hit night.
