As the Patriots prepare for the upcoming spring season, head coach Barrett Weaver has seen eleven of his current players sign collegiate contracts for the 2014 summer in competitive leagues throughout the nation. Outfielder Justin Watson (JR/Temple JC) will take his talent to the Cal Ripken Collegiate League to play for a team associated with Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Ryan Wagley (JR/Mansfield, TX) will also join the FCA organization while playing in the New York Collegiate Baseball League against his Patriot teammate Florentino Moreno (JR/Little Elm, TX). Pitcher Drew Burnett (JR/Navarro JC) will travel to the west coast for the 2014 summer and compete in the Golden State Collegiate Baseball League.
Centerfielder Zachary Thompson (JR/Whitehouse, TX) will join the Jayhawk League, while teammates Keith Schulz (JR/Richland JC) and Armando Garza (JR/Odessa JC) will team-up together in the Ohio Valley Collegiate League. Sophomores Michael Miller (Lockhart, TX) and Dylan Green (Keller, TX) will compete as teammates on Virginia Beach against fellow Patriots Carson Conarty (Arlington, TX) and Dehryen Booth (Fossil Ridge, TX) in the Carolina-Virginia Collegiate League.
