Skye Roach has served as Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach and Sports Information Director at Arlington Baptist University since August of 2019, and began assisting Volleyball in the Fall of 2022. In December of 2022, she was named the interim head coach for the remainder of the 2022-2023 season. After leading the Lady Patriots to a National Runner-Up finish in her first semester at the helm of the program, she was officially named the Head Women’s Basketball Coach.
In her time as Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach, the Lady Patriots captured their 8th and 9th consecutive Southwest Regional Championships in 2020 and 2021, their 6th and 7th consecutive ACCA National Championships in 2020 and 2021, and finished as runners-up in the 2021 and 2022 NCCAA DII National Championship. Coach Roach also served as the head middle school girls basketball coach at Pantego Christian Academy from 2019-2021.
Prior to joining the coaching staff at her alma mater, Roach played collegiate basketball at Clarendon College and Arlington Baptist University. She was a member of the 2018 and 2019 ABU Women’s Basketball teams that secured their 6th and 7th consecutive Southwest Regional Championships, their 4th and 5th consecutive ACCA National Championships, as well as their 4th and 5th consecutive NCCAA DII National Championships.
Skye graduated with an Associate’s Degree from Clarendon College in 2017, and then graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Arlington Baptist University in 2020. A Houston, Texas native, she now resides in Arlington and also serves as our Sports Information Director, Admissions Specialist, and Women’s Dorm Supervisor.
