Lady Patriots Finish 2nd in NCCAA National Tournament

March 15, 2014

The Lady Patriots finished off their season this past weekend in the NCCAA National Tournament. This was their second year straight to qualify for Nationals though they only had two returners from the 2012-2013 season.

Packed with Sophomore’s and Freshmen, the Lady Patriots made history as they posted a 22-7 record on the year, only losing three games in the second half of their season.

The Lady Patriots had two tough losses in two different national championship games, the ACCA and then the NCCAA, but have emerged as a team to be reckoned with thanks to the leadership of the coaching staff and determination of the ladies who play the game.

The Lady Patriots lost this past Saturday to defending National Champions Maranatha Bible College 77-69. The team was led by Sophomores Jade Johnson and Morgan Hale, who were both elected to the ‘All Tournament Team’ due to their excellent play during their three games in Joplin, MO.
