LeTourneau was never able to overcome its troubles against the Patriots on Friday, as LeTourneau fell 5-4 at Longview after falling behind by four runs in the fifth inning.

Parker Kleinert (Sophomore Henrietta, TX) pitched 8 1/3 innings for the Patriots, allowing one earned run on six hits with nine strikeouts.  Patriots closer Justin Olivarez (Freshman San Antonio, TX) put away the final two outs to record the save.

The game was never in doubt after the first when Patriots Ryan Sloma (Freshman Flower Mound, TX) hit a two-run double.  Sloma would finish the night with three RBIs and two doubles.

The Patriots added two more runs in the top of the fifth with a pair of RBI singles by Cameron Guzman (Freshman San Antonio, TX) and Trevor Currington (Freshman Coppell, TX)
