Patriot Cross Country Team Prepares for NCCAA National Championships

Arlington, TX- The Arlington Baptist College Men’s Cross Country team is gearing up for the most anticipated race in the programs short two year history.  Coach Jason Covarrubias eluded to the fact; “Our guys are excited about the opportunity to race on the biggest stage of their lives.”  He went on to say that, “This season has been a roller coaster ride with great races and injuries all wrapped in one.”  He really believes that his team has worked hard and at the end of the day will give all the glory to God, “This has been our theme all season long and my prayer is that it remains constant in these kid’s lives.”
With two weekends off since their last race at the NAIA Mid-States Classic where they finished 16th out of 31 schools, the team is mentally and physically prepared to compete.   The NCCAA National Championship will be held Saturday, November 10, 2012 at the Elvin R. King Cross Country Course on the campus of Cedarville University in Cedarville, OH.  The men’s race will begin promptly at 10:45 AM with expected temperatures in the mid 40s at race time.  If weather is permitting, the race will be live streamed here.
