The Lady Patriots fell to the Southwestern Assemblies of God University Lady Lions Monday December 16th, 68-88. At one point in the game the Lady Patriots were down 37 points, but with defensive pressure they were able to surge back, coming within 9 points twice during the match. Surges are not and were not constant for the Lady Patriots unfortunately, and they struggled to maintain their runs.
All scorers were led by 5’6 sophomore Morgan Hale who nearly topped her high score of the year with 30 points, 9-9 from the charity stripe, and with three assists. Additionally, point guard Shanice Hill had six assists, two triples, and led both teams with five steals. Leah Rangel also added ten points on the night.
The Lady Patriots fall to 5-5 on the year and will not resume play until the new year rolls around, tipping off at 5pm against Mountainview Junior College on Thursday, January 9th.
