Davis Beaver, Head Softball Coach

Davis Beaver was appointed the first softball coach in Arlington Baptist University history in May 2021.  

Coach Beaver has coached at the NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, and NJCAA levels and served as an Athletic Director and Head Softball Coach at the high school level as well.  He is Driveline Hitting Certified and OnBase University Hitting Certified and is a Trosky Gold Glove and Trosky Coaching Mastery member.  Coach Beaver is also a member of the National Fastpitch Coaches Association, American Baseball Coaches Association, and the Texas High School Coaches Association.   

Coach Beaver earned a Master of Human Relations from the University of Oklahoma and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Psychology with an emphasis in Performance Psychology at Grand Canyon University.  Coach Beaver’s long-term research interests include understanding how mindfulness and competition anxiety impact performance in fastpitch softball players.   

Coach Beaver’s long-term professional interests include coaching at a university or in professional baseball/softball, and to aid in the development of coaches and players seeking to coach or play at the collegiate or professional level.
