Coach McDaniel Stepping Down as Men’s Basketball Coach
After seven seasons as the Head Men’s Basketball Coach, Coach Clifton McDaniel has stepped down. Over the seven year span he has gone 107-89 and led his team to two ACCA National Championships and two NCCAA National Runner-ups. He has also been the athletic director and coached the women’s team for the past four years. Coach McDaniel said that, “it is time to focus more on the responsibilities as athletic director and women’s basketball coach.” He will still serve in those capacities while he hands the reigns to the men’s program over to his assistant Josh Moody. “Josh will do an outstanding job and I have all the confidence in the world that the guys will be in good hands,” McDaniel said. Coach Moody has assisted Coach McDaniel for two seasons and looks forward to taking over the program.
