Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach, Skye Roach, will lead the Lady Patriots as Interim Head Coach for the remainder of the season.
Coach Roach came to Arlington Baptist University in 2017 upon graduating with an associate degree from Clarendon College where she also played collegiate basketball at. She ended her playing career at ABU in 2019 and was a member of the 2018 and 2019 teams that won ABU’s 4th and 5th consecutive NCCAA DII National Championships. Roach graduated from ABU in 2020 with a bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and a concentration in Sports Care.
A message from Director of Athletics, Dr. Greg Feris: “The university is pleased to announce that Skye Roach has been elevated to the role of interim head coach for the women’s basketball team. Coach Roach brings experience and great familiarity to the program serving not only as an assistant coach the last two plus years, but also having played for the Patriots during her undergraduate days. I’m confident she has the knowledge and skill set to elevate the team’s level of play and has already proven to be a strong recruiter. She has established a pivotal rapport with the team, and in our judgement, will make a fine head coach. The interim appointment will be reassessed at the completion of the 2022-2023 season.”
